Our Rabbi
Rabbi Sholom is the founder, director of The Chabad House. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and is an emissary of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneersohn.
He came to San Jose together with his wife Bracha at the start of 2025 to establish Chabad of Evergreen. Although he was not born in San Jose, he got here just as quickly as he could and has kept himself and the community very busy ever since. Rabbi Sholom has been very successful in connecting with the local Jews from all communities with his upbeat and welcoming personality as well as his insightful and inspiring sermons and classes. He continues to attract a broad spectrum of Jews looking for a richer and deeper Jewish experience. Whether it’s a personal matter or religious matter, adult or child, Rabbi Sholom makes himself available and will always make time to help in whatever way he can.
"As a representative of Chabad, I consider it my privilege and duty to serve the Jewish community in San Jose," he says. "We will do anything to facilitate Jewish unity and continuity."
The Rabbi is available, at any time, to answer questions, advise, and counsel. "We will go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable," he says. "After all, Chabad is 'Your home for everything Jewish'."
